Bachmann Small Prairie - OO NEM Pocket right height
This item has been produced due to Bachmann putting what we call a cranked Tension lock coupling which has a dog leg in it to bring the tension lock down to lower position... which isn't friendly to other couplings (Like Kadees).
This pocket mounts in to the original NEM pocket on the leading and trailing pony trucks and brings it down to the correct height. No cutting necessary! You may need to warm the pocket and the clip tangs up in warm water to make them pliable to avoid breakage.
The pocket is a neat design solution, dreamed up in January this year when checking though my stock. I hope it helps you to convert your model to have an NEM pocket at the right height.
